After 13 years, it’s good to be back in Buenos Aires.  I’ve been reconnecting with old friends, exploring what’s new and unchanged, enjoying more than a few choris, empanadas, and asados, and heading out to the stadium to see a league match.

I wrote in my previous post that I was thinking of organizing a meetup of people involved — or merely interested — in football analytics.  And I’m happy to announce that I’ve decided on a date and time:

Hopefully this will be a time for drinks, some food, and some conversation about football and the analytics scene in Argentina (and elsewhere).  I have no idea how this will turn out — I could end up talking to myself, or 100 people will show up.  Perhaps the reality is somewhere in the middle.
