So today is my birthday, and what do I get to do today?  Pack my bags and fly out to London for the Leaders in Performance conference at Chelsea FC.  I'm excited to find out what the conference is all about and determine the receptivity of the major football clubs to more analytical and systematic performance assessments in the sport.  I'm also excited about attending my first football match in the UK: Charlton Athletic vs Tranmere Rovers on Saturday. It's League One soccer to be sure, but on an international weekend it looks like the best of the London-area matches in my opinion.
