Sports Analytics at Georgia Tech
Categories: Sports Analytics Courses
I was not aware of this course until I saw it mentioned on Ben Alamar’s Twitter feed, but there is a course at Georgia Tech – my undergraduate alma mater – on sports analytics. The scope of the course is wide-ranging and covers theory, development, and applications of analytics for in-game planning, team/player performance, business operations, and draft/transfer valuation. The course has featured guest lecturers such as Kevin Goodfellow, Dean Oliver, and Ben Alamar himself.
It looks like a very interesting course, although it’s probably too late for Tech students to register! I’d be interested in attending the guest lectures, though.
